As an artist-filmmaker and experienced lecturer, I have, over the past twenty years, experimented with various ways of collaborating with artists and academic researchers from other disciplines. In addition to working with other professionals my curiosity in the possibilities of collaboration has led to creative collaborations initiated with workplace communities of people otherwise engaged in earning a living e.g., the stallholders of Cardiff Market Hall and the fictional characters of Pobol Y Cwm, a Welsh language soap opera. One overarching theme that connects the various collaborative projects I have initiated is to creatively document subjective realities, exploring materials and media forms that each specific project suggests, to reflect the particularity of the subjective perspective represented.
My current project Skin Stories marks a return to mining my own autobiography as material for graphic animation production, mobilising further my fascination with the power of screen motion to express life as we experience it as an emotional, psychological, social, spiritual mesh.

This autobiographical graphic animation project, structured episodically, explores formative experiences seen through a feminist lens that have impacted my body and consequently shape my sense of self.
